Welcome to Kashmir Bike & Car Rentals! By renting a vehicle from us, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions. Please read these carefully before booking.

1. Rental Agreement

By booking and using our vehicles, you enter into a rental agreement with Kashmir Bike & Car Rentals. This agreement is binding once you confirm your booking and payment is received.

2. Eligibility

• Age Requirement: The minimum age for renting a vehicle is 18 years for bikes and 21 years for cars.
• Valid License: Renters must hold a valid driver’s license for at least 1 year prior to renting the vehicle.
• ID Proof: A government-issued ID (passport, Aadhar card, etc.) must be provided at the time of booking.

3. Vehicle Condition and Use

• Inspection: Renters are required to inspect the vehicle upon pick-up and report any visible damages. Any pre-existing damage must be documented.
• Proper Use: Vehicles should be used responsibly and strictly for personal use. Renters must follow all local traffic rules and regulations.
• Restricted Use: The vehicle must not be used for illegal activities, racing, towing, or transporting hazardous materials.

4. Fuel Policy

• The vehicle will be provided with a full tank of fuel, and it should be returned with a full tank. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, charges will apply based on current fuel rates.

5. Security Deposit

• A refundable security deposit is required at the time of pick-up. The deposit will be refunded upon return of the vehicle in the same condition it was rented.
• Any damages, fines, or violations incurred during the rental period will be deducted from the security deposit.

6. Rental Duration & Extension

• Rental Period: Rentals are charged on a 24-hour basis. Any additional hours will be billed as per the hourly rate.
• Extension: If you wish to extend the rental period, please notify us at least 12 hours in advance. Extension requests are subject to vehicle availability.

7. Insurance and Liability

• All vehicles are insured with basic coverage for accidents and third-party liability.
• Damage or Theft: Renters are responsible for any damage to the vehicle during the rental period. In case of an accident, the renter must report the incident immediately. In the event of theft, the renter must file a police report and inform us promptly.
• Renters are liable for any traffic violations, fines, or parking tickets incurred during the rental period.

8. Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations made 48 hours before the scheduled pick-up: Full refund of the rental amount.
• Cancellations made within 48 hours of the pick-up time: 50% refund of the rental amount.
• No-show or failure to pick up the vehicle at the agreed time will result in no refund.

9. Breakdown and Assistance

• In the event of a breakdown, please contact us immediately. We provide 24/7 roadside assistance to ensure your safety and quick resolution.
• Replacement Vehicle: If the issue cannot be resolved, we will arrange a replacement vehicle (subject to availability).

10. Prohibited Activities

• Sub-leasing or renting the vehicle to a third party is prohibited.
• Renters must not drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any other substances that impair their driving ability.

11. Return Policy

• Vehicles must be returned on time and in the same condition as they were rented. Any delays in return will incur additional charges.
• If a vehicle is returned excessively dirty or with significant damage, additional cleaning or repair fees will apply.

12. Amendments

Kashmir Bike & Car Rentals reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Renters will be notified of any changes via our website or email.

13. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with the rental agreement will be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Jammu and Kashmir.
